CANDLES — Due to strict fire codes, we do not allow candles burning in any of the rooms.WHIRLPOOLS – Please, enjoy without oils or bubble bath.

GIFT CERTIFICATES — Gift Certificates are available for purchase in any amount to be used towards a stay at Bernadine’s Stillman Inn. Gift certificates are charged on the day you purchase them. They are not redeemable for cash. We have a two night minimum on the weekends and some Holidays and weekends require a three night stay.

REFUNDS — Please let us know immediately if anything falls short of your expectations. No refunds will be issued if we are not given a chance and reasonable time to correct an issue. We cannot be held responsible for acts of God, which limit the use of the room during your stay, for example, the cable TV goes out, the VCR breaks down, etc. Simply, we ask you to call us, let us resolve your concern and get you back to enjoying your stay!

ROOM CLEANING — We have staff available to clean rooms from 11am to 3pm. If your “Maid Service” sign is posted after 3pm, please contact us to make other arrangements.

CHECK IN AND OUT — With prior planning your room may be available as early as noon. Call us at least one hour before your arrival to set up your personal check-in time. Check-out is 11am.

ROOM RATES & PACKAGE PRICES are subject to change. Your room or package rate will not be changed once you have reserved your room and/or package. If a Gift Certificate is purchased for a specific room on a specific date and the gift certificate recipient changes arrival days (weekend vs weekday) there may be an additional fee.

ROOM CHARGE — We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Cash. Checks are accepted only if received in enough time to clear your account before your arrival.

LOST AND FOUND — Please give us a call as soon as possible regarding your lost or left behind item. If found, we will package it up and mail it to you as quickly as our schedule allows. Before sending the package, we will need a credit card to charge for the expenses that include price of postage plus packaging plus a $12 handling fee.

ROOM CANCELLATION — Every reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us as soon as possible. We have a two-week cancellation policy and in some cases listed below, a three-week cancellation. If you cancel prior to two/three weeks of your arrival date, then you are not financially responsible for the room. If you cancel within the two/three weeks of your arrival, then you are financially responsible for the room and any packages you order unless we can re-book the room and cancel any retail items you ordered. The more time we have to try to re-book your room, the better the chances are of filling your room for you.

We require a $100 deposit on all room reservations at the time the reservation is made. Balance is due at check in time and can be paid with cash or credit card.

Two Week Cancellation: for all 1 and 2 night stays

Three Week Cancellation: for all 3 or more night stays and for groups taking more than one room.

Reservations for more than one room require a $100 deposit for each room on different credit cards.

Room deposits will be refunded if you cancel before the cancellation period listed above.

To be clear, we assume you will be arriving for your room and often times turn down other requests for your room. We count on your arrival and payment just as much as you count on the room being available for you when you check in!

If the National Weather Service issues a warning of severe weather in Galena, the town you listed as your home when making the reservation, or the direct area in between, and you cancel your travel plans due to the weather conditions on the day of your arrival, you will not be charged for the reservation.

SMOKING is not allowed inside of the inn. Smoking is permitted outside on the grounds and outdoor porches.

CHILDREN — By popular guest vote, children over 12 are welcome.

PETS — So sorry, but Bernadine’s Stillman Inn does not accept pets. We can, however, direct you to a local Pet Care Center.

HOLIDAYS — Some weekends and most holidays require a three-night stay. All other weekends require a two-night stay unless a situation comes up when a one-night stay is available. Midweek is defined by Monday through Thursday nights. Weekend rates apply to all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night stays, some Holidays and Weekends. Three-night stays are required for Country Fair Weekend.
